this is my take on the sketch this month at SKETCHES WITH A TWIST....... the twist this month is to use something green, well ive got that covered, and the only thing i altered with the sketch was i condensed it down to 8.5x11 size layout and i used smaller pics than the sketch called for....................... i got to use my stash of the new MME kraft range, i love it, would be an understatement............ whn i made the flags, i didnt have any tooth picks to use, so i used a couple of bobby pins lol, i actually prefer them over tooth picks now, TFL

a manufacturer and sketch challenges for Global Scrappers - feb

this layout is done for the manufacturer challenge this month at GLOBAL SCRAPPERS........ the manufacturer is Authentique............... this proved difficult for me as the only stuff i had in that brand is a couple alpha sticker sheets and a couple diecut element sheets, and thats it...... so i used the negative to the diecut sheet so i at least had a bit more to work with...... i quite like how this turned out. TFL

this above layout is for the sketch challenge at GS.....connor on his first day of grade 1, he loves going to school, i hope it stays that way........TFL...used som PP embellies on here, the spottie lollipop and the 2 buttons.......

It's a Doozy ( CH busted up challenge)

this is done for the Challenge Heaven busted up challenge this month, you had to use stitching(mine is the handstitched circle) and to use a photo of bumps scrapes bruises etc, well this is a real doozy, Connor, at 3 just before xmas 08 decided to drop a brick on his foot and almost sever his toe, so 2 days before christmas hes being operated on to reattach the said toe..................TFL he banner is left over from the a lil something school release range , just shows that im better at stashing the stash rather than using it lol

i did this for feb's challenge at DARING YOU TO SCRAP, this is fast becoming another fave challenge blog of mine, i love it...............this months challenge is to use song lyrics as the main design element of the page, i chose the song 'its gonna be ok' by adam brand, i glimmermisted a doily and randomly put 'ok' letter stickers over it..................... the journalling reads, things will be ok, my depression will get better, i will become a stronger person, it will get better, because i have the support of a loving partner and family'................................the gorgeous rolled rosettes at the bottom left of the page are by ZZ shop..........TFL

did this for the challenge this month at KRAFT IT UP.......... your layout had to be 'love' themed and have pink on there somewhere(i used a tiny bit of pink the flowers on the doily, on the heart and one of the banner strips), and be on kraft pp or c/s................... these 2 are such gorgeous boys and i just love them to bits............................ love this pic of them............................. for my background, i put about 4 different colours of liquid pearls on a paint sponge thing and just pressed down in the corners, and dont you just LOVE my2angels new love themed charms, suited this page perfectly, the i love you note paper charm on the banner and the love you postcard charm next to flower, TFL i have used kraft c/s, liquid pearls, vintage doily, grace taylor journal block and banner, felt hearts, handmade atc card, my2angels charms, lovelybugs flower and stamped quote, staples

this is my take on the current challenge over at GET PICKY......................you had to scrap a layout of your favourite holiday, and use at least 4 photos to tell your story....................... this is the one and only holiday we have ever been on(so far, we are going back this year)and i used 5 photos, ive got a photo of the sign of the place we holidayed at ( Bjeilke Petersen dam) its near Murgon in QLD, and the cabin we stayed in with the boys on the veranda if you look closely, the boys swimming, connor fishing, and we finished up with a trip to the speedway......... we loved the holiday so much we booked for this year before we left.......................... TFL the cute vintage bottle cap is from ZZ Shop, and used some scraps of a lil somethin mesh ribbon

First week of grade 1 is over, and our bubba boy is 10 mths

Connor has finished his first week of grade 1, and is at the start of week 2 today............... its going well, he loves school, but when asked what grade he is in by people, he says 'grade 7' lol...... he gets confused because he is 7 next birthday.......................... the last 6 yrs has just flown by......

and above is our very cute littlest man who has just turned 10 mths................... he is growing so quickly, the time is going nowhere......................

he weighs about 12 kgs, not sure on height..................... but definitely tall for his age

wears size 0-1 clothes and size 6 shoes........................... has 6 teeth, is crawling everywhere, can stand and walk with support(has been doing this for ages, before he was crawling), cant stand without support yet....................... eats anything that he is given, loves mashed potato and mince or pasta for dinner, weetbix for brekky, and yoghurt or vegemite sandwich for lunch, and loves wafer biscuits..........................

this is done for the Show us your Stuff 2nd challenge for january, and i also used the try this technique challenge which is to make some squishy hearts(but you could use the technique for any shape) so i thought i would make an over-sized lollipop flower in a cupcake theme, using patty cases as the layers, thought it suited the birthday theme of this layout................ the quote to use for the challenge is 'cheers to another year, and another chance to get it right' by oprah winfrey, i chose to use just the first line of the quote, as Pat celebrates his birthday on new years day it suited perfectly i think.......... that is how old Connor is right now..................... i have been mainly scrapping our youngest little cutie, that i thought it about time i did some layouts on Connor our biggest cutie.................. i took him to the park on thursday to specifically get some shots of just him so i had recent pics to scrap(ive been mainly taking pics of Colin, or the 2 of them together)....................... this layout focuses on connor favourite things at this age....... favourite clothes are definitely his Ben 10 shirts, he will wear his billabong shirt if he has to(ie if we are going out we make him, his ben 10 ones are too small and tatty) his favourite colours are green and brown, and his favourite movies depend on his mood but can be anything from all the disney pixar movies, to blade, lethal weapon or indianna jones....................... and also focuses on how far he has came in the last year in terms of his development and how he has really grown up and matured, we are just so proud of him.... this layout is done for the scraplift challenge at GLOBAL SCRAPPERS for this month...... i love this little man so much, he brings so much joy into our lives and is just a true blessing........ i love this pic of him taken when we went on holidays at xmas time...... this is for the sketch #16 at GET PICKY....... i cant believe ive done every single challenge at this great site, i love all their challenges, and this sketch was just gorgeous, i kept this layout true to the sketch, the centre photo is layered on a punched doily that was in a kit i got from lovelybugs, and the top photo of the centre one is torn(the ink was running out and part of the photo turned out crap) so i tore the crappy bit off and layed it on top of a good copy of it, i like doing this lately.................... Not forever lol......i love scrapping too much to give it up........but its it for me for this month...... we head away on our xmas holiday tomorrow for a week and a half, so i wont have time to do anymore til the new year now.........................but im so looking forward to us going away, it very rarely happens so im glad we are this year.......................have a great xmas and happy new year and please please stay safe i will 'see' you all in the new year............................ below are the 2 last layouts ive done for this year..... they are both of our youngest little cutie.....and both are done for GLOBAL SCRAPPERS............ the ABOVE layout is for the krafty colour challenge, to use kraft with pink green and white, i managed to do a boy page with these colours using the older kaiser xmas range...... i love all the photos of Colin for this xmas photoshoot i took of him wearing his xmas jammies i just had to buy him lol,

these are all done for various challenges around, this month...... this first one is done for STUFF 2 SCRAP you had to use layered chipboard(mine is the hearts and birds), creative with paint, no use of brushes or sponges, i used a plastic knife to scrape the paint across the page, and base your page on a song..... i used the song called 'a woman needs....' by country singer Jessica Harp..................... and because i didnt use S2S chippy, i used a leeann Pearce designed acrylic birdcage for STUFF 2 SCRAP so i didnt feel bad about the chippy lol..... i have used prima journal sheet, fancy pants journal cards and strip, kraft c/s, paint, october afternoon alpha, simple stories alpha, lil red rocket felt/comic book rounds

Connor wanted a coke on the way home from school yesterday, i was thirsty too so i got us both 1.....and look at the names that were on the bottles i grabbed out of the fridge lol..... i thought it was sooooo cool.....................now ive been told by Connor that i need to find a bottle with his name on it lol

this is my take on the group 2 challenge for Oct at Show us your Stuff...... the challenge is to use misting, circles and flowers(ive got all 3 of the criteria here) and i loved the TRY THIS technique challenge so much i used it again on this layout..... the 2 twine circles at the bottom of page, i made imy own mask to mist over with different size circles........ this layout is of our little man Connor who now wears glasses...... i think they suit him and he looks sooooooo cute wioth them on, he needs to wear them for at least 6 mths to see if there is an improvement with his bad eye(one eye is almost perfect ) and if not they will patch the good eye to get the bad one to work harder.......... well i finally got the group 1 sketch challenge done over at Show us your Stuff...... i followed the sketch to a tee, my handmade embellie is the raffia daisy in my cluster at the bottom of pic, and i also incorporated the try this challenge as well which is to use the yarn technique featured, mine is the star in the stitched circle........ loved that technique, and will definitely use it again...... this is our youngest and cutest(sorry Connor lol) little man Colin, he is just the cutest little addition to our family......just love him to bits........ and he's even cuter(as are all babies) when he is asleep.... i just can't resist taking photos of a sleeping bubba.......... Kraft It Up......october challenge

this is done for the October challenge at KRAFT IT UP...... the challenge was to use a kraft base, and use a style of scrapping in either Minimalist, Monochromatic, or vintage/shabby/romantic, now im not really a minimalist scrapper, i just can't get the balance of white space 'right' without it looking like something should be there..... but i quite like how this layout turned out..... this would be my fave pic of me as a little girl.....way back in the mid 70's lol.......... so if this layout isnt 'minimalist' enough, its also scrapped in the other styles listed as criteria for the challenge...... its mono pink, and also shabby as well............ this layout also uses some of the gorgeous handmade stuff that my bestest blogger friend Mel gave me to showcase for her........ head to her blog and check out her gorgeous stuff for sale.....TFL i have used, kraft c/s, my2angels hydrangea flowers, craft doll, ZZ shop vintage charm raffia daisies and rolled rosettes(1 is on a silver charm thingy), paint, websters whimsies resin rose, jenni bowlin butterflies and alpha, rose moka alpha, the chip chop shop doilies, lil red rocket button, inque boutique chipboard shapes, liquid pearls, hand doodled pink frame

this is done for the October challenge at Scrap the Boys...... to use handmade boy embellies, they can be made by you or made by someone else and purchased.......... i chose to use 2 different releases(that seemed to go well together and with this pic) by A Lil Somethin........ i love Susan and Wendy's stuff im addicted............... they are well made and so cheap.......... i love this quote, and again it seemed to go well with this pic...... your life is like a movie where you are the main star.......... and down the bottom i incorporated the printed words on the pp....always live a good life......... Above is my layout for the manufacturer challenge this month at Global Scrappers, you had to use mostly American Crafts.....now that scared me, cos i only buy AC for their thickers..... but when i went looking through my stash, i was very surprised by how much i had, everything here is AC except for the glimmermist, cardstock and calico.....Connor is soooooo thrilled to have a baby bro and future........look to the layout for all the words lol, i cant be bothered typing them...
